Keith Donald was a principal and founding partner at SpringSource, the company behind Spring and a division of VMware. At SpringSource, Keith is a full-time member of the Spring development team focusing on web application development productivity. He is also the architect behind SpringSource’s state-of-the-art training curriculum, which has provided practical Spring training to over 10,000 students worldwide. Over his career, Keith, an experienced enterprise software developer and mentor, has built business applications for customers spanning a diverse set of industries including banking, network management, information assurance, education, retail, and healthcare. He is particularly skilled at translating business requirements into technical solutions. Keith is now the founder of SteadyTown which focuses on rapid rehousing for at risk families. He was recognized as Brevard’s Philanthropist of the Year and is very well renowned in the community for his non-profit work. Keith is also a mentor to several Tech Startup in the area. Having boot strapped his previous company to the point where it was worth $50 million, he has quite the experience of being as successful tech entrepreneur in the area.

Mike is the Small Business Technology Manager at Kennedy Space Center where he leads KSC SBIR/STTR activities and assists with technology development. Recently, Mike served as one of KSC’s Commercial Partnership Development Managers, where he led the development of agreements for the Sierra Nevada Corporation Dream Chaser and Paul Allen’s Stratolaunch system. Mike received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Washington State University after serving in the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Division. He began his KSC engineering career in 1999 on the Space Shuttle as a contractor working the Orbiter Main Propulsion Systems, where he developed repairs and manned the firing room console during test and launch operations. In 2005 he joined the Constellation Program where he served as the KSC lead for the Orion Service Module until accepting a position with the KSC Center Planning and Development Directorate in 2010. Throughout his career Mike has witnessed firsthand the massive changes enabled by new technology, and he looks forward to helping industry drive more change in the future.

Ahmed is a techie and a serial entrepreneur. He got his start working on Nasa’s Spitzer Space Telecscope project while at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He flew down to the Space Coast for the Launch of Spitzer and has been in love with the area ever since. His technical background includes developing AI for UAVs on a DOD project in Central Florida, hacking car computers at SuperChips, to helping develop some cutting edge, large scale software solutions for the travel Industry as a Software Lead at NCR and then as a Software Architect at LiveTV. During his time at Cornell, Ahmed also helped design the telematics and control system for the Cornell Hybrid Electric Vehicle Team and advised the Darpa Grand Challenge team. Hacking things together and building things keeping him up at night. As such he’s always had two passions, technology and business. Ahmed’s first business venture was also launched while he was at Cornell, a shop called “Ahmed’s House of Essence” in the Ithaca Mall. After moving to Florida, he started CyberCarz, which sold cars online and went to to start more software oriented startups in cahoots with other hackers and entrepreneurs. Ahmed loves to spend his rare free time with his family. He also likes to unwind by meeting up with his fellow organizers and members of the local Meet-up group, Coders Hackers and Founders.
